Does the 0.75hp iFlo Pool Pump have the same pipe thread as 1.5hp iFlo Pool Pump?

The new pump doesn't align with the old unions without a slight modification. While the threads are identical, the small protruding spigot on the old union requires trimming to enable the O-ring to align with the flat surface of the pump. Currently, the union body makes contact first. Ideally, the new unions should be installed to ensure a proper fit.
