What does it do?
A Solar Cover when placed on the water’s surface of a pool, spa or hot tub, increases the water temperature by absorption and transmission of solar radiation; reduces evaporation and prevents wind-borne debris from entering the water. Our Solar Pool Covers are made in the South of England from material produced by our sister company Plastipack, working together we have created some of the world’s most innovative Solar Covers helping you improve heat retention and lower water evaporation.
Points to bear in mind common to all Plastica covers
Covers are despatched in bags except when ordered with a foam filled leading edge.
Cover can be ordered in imperial measurements but will be invoiced to the nearest sq.m.
When calculating cover prices, use the exact size in feet or metres for pool dimensions then round off to the nearest square metre. If you have the area in square feet, tis can be converted to square metres by multiplying the square footage by 0.0929.
All covers come complete with a Solar Protector Sheet which MUST be used when the cover is not in place on the pool.
All non-hemmed covers are supplied as a rectangle and are to be trimmed on site using a good pair of household scissors as per instructions enclosed. Unless otherwise stated, all covers are made oversized.
Strap sets are supplied automatically with reel system but with covers.
All guarantees are for covers used on pools run at 30°C (85°F) or below, with chemical and dissolved solid levels kept in accordance with S.P.A.T.A standards.
It is recommended that ALL covers over 12m (40) are fitted with reinforcing and a leading edge when used with reel system.
